One World Ends, Another Begins

The Flood of Judgement had ended months ago. The land emerged weeks ago. The door had opened days ago. When it did, Noah and his family looked out, after being trapped in that vessel for a year or more, and saw the land. A new land.  A clean land. Soon the waters had receded and there was enough land for the animals to be free once more. Noah and his family, his wife, his children and their children, emerged from the Ark and gave thanks to the Creator for giving them the strength and courage to face all the challenges they had been put through, for it was through Him only that they alone survived. Now Noah leads the survives down Ararat to let them go off into the new world where they may thrive once more, hopefully free from the wickedness of the men who once ruled this world. As the herds and flocks and Noah's family march forward, Noah can't help but pause and look back; reflecting on all that's happened. The days of labor and nights of taunting and threats, the attacks his neighbors put on him and the doubts he's had as to whether or not he would survive God's test. But now, after the rains have ceased, the waters have dried, and the sky has cleared, Noah looks back on the vessel that saved Creation, illuminated in the haze of the Creator's bow, and all he can do is thank Him. For everything. For through all the struggles and fear, pain and doubt, one world has ended, but another has begun!

(I do plan on continuing my rewrite of the Noah narrative, but I've been wanting to do this for a long time! I'll try and do more small illustrations to go with the story as well.)
