Status; Semi-domesticated.

    Iguanobovis domiplanis is a med-sized iguanodont related to the larger Neoiguanodon, and lives in a similar way except it is no-longer fully wild. The Accala people are largely hunters, but a few communities have started a new practice of taming the local wildlife. Along with the Iguanobovis they also keep a few kinds of ground birds as meat and egg sources, and have been known to keep several smaller creatures caught in the wild as pets. Iguanobovis is raised in a semi-domestic state; the animals are allowed to roam freely in sections of plain and forest set of by the people, but are watched by "shepherds" during the day to protect them from predators, and every night they are corralled in fenced pens made of thorny shrub and branches. The Accala also advertise their ownership of the dinosaurs by splattering mud and tar onto their sides, just as cattle are branded elsewhere. The dinosaur's breeding isn't altered from its natural occurrence, but the young are looked after by both their parents and the people. Slaughter occurs usually before the age of ten, but some individuals are spared and live to 30. The Accala use their hides as leather along with the meat, which is best on the legs and base of the tail and tastes like a cross between chicken and red meat. Though not fully domestic, the Iguanobovis are better suited to live under man's care than in the wild. Their ancestors evolved a smaller size than the larger iguanodonts, as well as shorter legs and a dulled thumb claw. These adaptations make them ill-suited to fending off predators but easy to be kept and cared for by humans. They can still be somewhat skittish, which makes them easy to wrangle up but hard to approach and interact with physically, but these "wild" tendencies will be dulled overtime.

Great job!  I meant to say "Iguana" instead of "Lizard" though.  ^^;
