Clash of the Cats

    In Pleistocene North America, a lone Smilodon fatalis has been evicted from his bison kill by a pair of American Lions Panthera leo atrox. The saber-tooth has sheer size and power, as well as a devastating bite on his side, but he couldn't fend of two cats of similar size by himself. He is forced to give up his meal and walk off with his tail between his legs and scars covering his face and body. At a time when the world is changing and prey is growing scarce, even competent hunters are are forced to squabble over every scrap.
Setting: California, 11,000 B.C.
